両大戦間期における米材の使用状況について
－清水組施工住宅を例に－
本稿は、両大戦間期の日本における米国産木材の使用状況について明らかにすることを目的とする。具体的には、当該期に米材の輸入が増加した要因と、その利用先の一例として、清水組施工住宅における米材の使用状況を明らかにする。その方法は以下のとおりである。
1.各種統計データより、当該期の木材需給状況と米材の輸入状況を調査する。
2.清水組が作成した「工事竣功報告書」から、住宅の主要構造部位に使用されている米材を調査する。
ON THE USAGES OF AMERICAN WOOD DURING THE INTERWAR PERIOD
－Examples from the houses constructed by Shimizu-gumi－
This paper aims to clarify the usage of American wood in Japan during the interwar period. Specifically, the factors of increased imports of American wood and as an example, the usage of American wood in the houses that were constructed by Shimizu-gumi are clarified. The methods are as follows.
1.By statistical data, investigate the supply and demand situation and the import of American wood.
2.Investigate the usage in the main structural members of houses in the completion report by Shimizu-Gumi.
