都市型ビオトープ「再生の杜」における竣工後10年目の生物生息状況
2006年に清水建設技術研究所に創出された都市型ビオトープ「再生の杜」において、10年目の生物相の調査を行い、初期・中期の状況と比較した。その結果、植物の種数は植栽した200種から、10年目は表土から出芽した絶滅危惧種も含め296種に増加した。植栽した樹木の多くは順調な生育を示した。調査年別の確認種は鳥類で13～18種、昆虫類は160～175種でこのうちトンボ類が10～13種、チョウ類が9～11種であり、10年目の確認種数は初期・中期とほぼ同数であった。魚類7種の個体数は4種が増加、3種が減少したが、総個体数は導入数の約2.5倍と推定された。これらから人工的な緑地でも豊かな生物生息機能を長期的に維持し、都市域の生物多様性の向上に寄与していることが示された。
The biota of an urban biotope ten years after its construction
We surveyed the biota of an urban biotope ten years after its construction and compared the findings with the early- and mid-period results. The number of plant species increased from 200 to 296 and included several endangered plants. Most planted trees were thriving. In each of the previous years, we had observed 13-18 bird species, 10-13 dragonfly species, 9-11 butterfly species. In the tenth year, we observed nearly identical numbers of these species. Of the 7 fish species, 4 species increased in number and 3 decreased in number. The estimated total number of fish, however, had increased by a factor of about 2.5. These results show that an artificial green space in an urban environment can maintain the good quality of habitats for a long period and improve urban biodiversity.
